Questions, answered.

Everything about how Uplinq keeps your books continuously aligned: the AI engine, the accountants behind it, pricing, security, and switching over.

01

Getting started

4 questions

How long does it take to get set up?

Most businesses are live within a few days. You connect your bank, card and payroll accounts, we ingest the history, and the AI engine begins categorizing immediately — no long onboarding project.

What do I need to provide to start?

Read-only access to your financial accounts and a short intro call so your accountant understands the business. That's it — we handle the rest of the configuration.

Do I have to stop using QuickBooks?

No. Uplinq works alongside QuickBooks or replaces it entirely — your choice. Many customers keep QuickBooks as the ledger of record while Uplinq does the continuous work behind it.

What happens to my historical books?

We import and clean them. If prior periods are behind, our catch-up service brings everything current before continuous bookkeeping takes over.

02

How the AI works

4 questions

What does the AI engine actually do?

It reads every transaction as it happens, interprets the context, categorizes it, matches it to your rules and prior decisions, and flags anything it can't resolve with confidence. The books stay aligned to the business in real time, not at month-end.

How accurate is the categorization?

The engine is trained on millions of categorized transactions and on your own history, so accuracy climbs as it learns your patterns. Anything below a confidence threshold is routed to a human before it touches your books.

Does a real person ever review my books?

Yes. Every account has U.S.-based professional accountant oversight. The AI handles the volume; your accountant reviews exceptions, closes the month, and is accountable for what you see.

What happens when the AI isn't sure?

It doesn't guess. Low-confidence items are held, surfaced to your accountant, and — if needed — asked back to you in plain language, so nothing is miscategorized silently.

03

Pricing & plans

4 questions

How is Uplinq priced?

Pricing is a flat monthly subscription based on your transaction volume and complexity — not hourly. You always know what you'll pay. Book a demo for a quote tailored to your business.

Is there a setup or catch-up fee?

Standard onboarding is included. If your books are behind, catch-up work is quoted separately and once — after that you're on the flat monthly plan.

Can I change plans as I grow?

Yes. Plans scale with your transaction volume and entities. As complexity grows, the system grows with you — no migration, no restart.

Are there long-term contracts?

No long lock-ins. Plans are month-to-month, and you can export your complete books at any time.

04

Security & data

4 questions

How is my financial data protected?

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is least-privilege and logged, and account connections are read-only through trusted aggregators. Security is treated as financial infrastructure, not an afterthought.

Who can see my data?

Only you and the accountant team assigned to your account. Access is role-based and auditable — no one outside your team touches your books.

Where is my data stored?

In U.S.-based, SOC-compliant cloud infrastructure with continuous monitoring and regular backups.

Can I export everything if I leave?

Always. Your books are yours. Export full financials, journals and source data at any time in standard formats.

05

Bookkeeping & your team

3 questions

Is there a real accountant behind my account?

Yes — a U.S.-based professional, supported by the AI engine. You get a named team, not an anonymous queue.

How do I communicate with my team?

Through a shared workspace built into Uplinq. Questions, approvals and answers live in one place, tied to the transactions they're about — a shared source of truth between you and your experts.

How is this different from a traditional bookkeeper?

A traditional bookkeeper works after the fact, monthly, and manually. Uplinq keeps the books continuously aligned, so your numbers are right and usable every day — not reconstructed weeks later.

06

Taxes & reporting

3 questions

Does Uplinq file my taxes?

Yes — Uplinq supports tax filings and works from books that are already tax-ready, so filing isn't a year-end scramble built on a messy ledger.

Will my books be tax-ready year-round?

That's the point of continuous bookkeeping. Because the ledger is always aligned, your filings, estimates and reporting draw from numbers that are already correct.

Do you support multiple entities?

Yes. Multi-entity businesses get consolidated and per-entity views, with the same continuous accuracy across every set of books.

07

Switching to Uplinq

2 questions

I'm running on spreadsheets — can you migrate me?

Yes. We move you off fragile spreadsheets onto a living ledger, import what's usable, and rebuild the rest cleanly so you stop maintaining formulas by hand.

I have an overseas or in-house bookkeeper — how is this different?

Uplinq combines the cost efficiency you were chasing with U.S.-based oversight and AI that never sleeps — without the communication gaps, key-person risk or after-the-fact reporting.
